elternabend

alleine der gedanke daran!
neben dem üblichen blabla, wir machen dies und wir machen das, hat die klassenlehrerin sämtliche kosten für ausflüge, projekte, klassengeld, native speaker,... genannt. nach einer groben hochrechung komme ich auf etwa 350,00€ (inkl. projektwoche).

der highlight des abend war (für mich), die neuigkeit, dass es in oberösterreich bald mehr als nur eine mittelschule geben wird. denn die tatsache, dass es in ganz oberösterreich derzeit nur eine mittelschule gibt, machte mir richtig angst. auch die reaktionen der anderen eltern darauf machten mir angst. die schienen nämlich gar nicht zu wissen was eine mittelschule ist. und wie es mir schien, ist den meisten auch egal wo ihr kind hinkommt, hauptsache es ist nicht zuhause. ich für meinen teil, kann es kaum erwarten mehr infos zu erhalten. mir ist nicht egal wo mein kind hinkommt.


parents' evening

oh, just when i hear about it! beside all things the class wants to do and make the teacher told us about the costs for the projects, excursions, native speaker,... this school year will cost me roughly 350€ (or about 490$!!!!). but the highlight for me was when the teacher starts to talk about some news for upper austrian schools. in upper austria there will be more comprehensive schools. at the moment there is only one school of that kind!!! well, it seemed to me that the parents weren't really interested in this great news. and somehow i've got the feeling that for some parents it really doesn't matter which school their child attends. the main thing is they are not at home.
